- Gimp, 2 pieces each 4.5 yards long
- Snap hook
Directions:
Fold both pieces of gimp in half and slip snap hook to center of laces to make 4 strands each 81 inches long. Work round braid in diamond pattern for 36 inches. Turn work upside down and tie braid so the 2 light laces are opposite each other, and the 2 dark laces are opposite each other. REFER to BOX STITCH instructions. Make first box stitch, slip snap end of round braid upward through center of box. Work box stitch around braid loosely enough to slide up and down braid. Work for 1 inch. Fasten off.
